Photo of the Tõkaidõ road at Namamugi betwen Kanagawa and Kawasaki where Charles Lennox Richardson was murdered by Satsuma samurai on September 14th, 1862. This photo was taken by Felice Beato in 1863, the same year of the Anglo-Satsuma war which stemmed from the murder of Richardson. (see previous post)
