Monoqlo magazine’s August edition had a fast food comparison review called “Play off game for the chain restaurant.”
They reviewed fast food from a number of restaurants, the two major ones being MacDonald’s and KFC. In particular they measured fat content of the various burgers and weight of the patties used, the style of chips served and their size, and the different sauces and toppings.

Portions of food in Japan are TINY. Burgers, hotdogs, chips, pizza - all are very small. Here’s a good example from KFC Japan. The Twister is less than HALF the size of a KFC Twister in Australia! You only get around eight chips in a small paper bag (medium set), and the burgers are possibly the smallest burgers I’ve ever seen.
