One thing the Japanese haven”t figured out yet it seems is cheesecake.

My wife brought a cheesecake home for dessert tonight. I simply love cheesecake. But whatever it was she brought home it wasn’t a cheesecake!

I don’t know what the bloody hell it was!

It *looked* like a cheesecake. But it tasted, well,……… like nothing at all!

It had no flavour at all. I had to keep looking at my spoon to see if I was eating it or if it had fallen off! There was texture, and it was a little creamy, but I couldn’t taste it! It was tasteless!

As you can see from the photos, the other surprising thing was how bloody small it was! Smaller than a DVD!

Twister Medium Chips Chicken katsu burger

Portions of food in Japan are TINY. Burgers, hotdogs, chips, pizza - all are very small. Here’s a good example from KFC Japan. The Twister is less than HALF the size of a KFC Twister in Australia! You only get around eight chips in a small paper bag (medium set), and the burgers are possibly the smallest burgers I’ve ever seen.
